Welcome
visitor.
Disclaimer: Jiu Jitusu and Martial
Arts, like any sport, involves a potential risk for
serious injury. The techniques used in our video clips
are being demonstrated by martial art professionals
and are being shown solely for entertainment purposes.
The video clips are not a substitute for professional
instruction and supervision, and no one should attempt
any of these techniques without proper personal instruction
from trained instructors. Anyone who attempts any
of these techniques, under supervision or not, assumes
all risks. Submissions 101.com shall not be liable
to anyone for use of any of these.
Warning (kind of): While we have
made every effort to bring things to you in a straight
forward manner, the viewer should also realize that
we tend to be tongue and cheek at times. This means
we'll joke around and have a good time with the site.
We ain't about being 'stoic, serious, and in ya face'.
Have fun with the site. Use the videos which help
you. Discard the ones that don't. Ask you instructor
about things. If our videos drive you to want to join
a gym or expand your JJ knowledge or even get you
to ask your instructor about something, then WE'VE
DONE OUR JOB.
Opinions: Everyone's got one,
we know. Our you tube page is full of them. All comments
are approved before being posted to save our pages
being riddled with spam, trolling and assholes in
general. There are both negative and positive comments
on those video too, but if your comment hasn't appeared
it could be because of 3 reasons 1) the comment was
nothing short of rude or stupid 2) we hadn't gotten
a confirmation email telling us that you posted (this
happens a lot with you tube so I have to go through
them once a month to see if we missed any or 3) it
just didn't get posted.
Since it is our site, we feel we should
have control over all the content. It is our right
after all. We simply want to get people interested
in jiu jitsu or expand their game some how. For well
over a year now, we've been doing that with success.
Background: there has been some
discussion on my martial art background which have
led some to to interpret me as a BJJ Black Belt because
I sometimes wear my Japanese JJ belt with what some
call a "BJJ gi" in some of the videos. I
am not a BJJ black Belt. I wear my gis (koral or vulkan)
because they are the best damn kimonos I've ever owned.
I personally do not think it denotes a style. I find
this view point very limited. However, I have written
this section to clear up any misunderstanding that
'some' of you might have.
My official rankings include:
10th Planet Jiu Jitsu: Purple Belt
under Eddie Bravo
Aikido: Shodan (1st Degree Black
Belt)
Japanese Jiu Jitsu: Nidan (2nd Degree
Black Belt)
This site is about Jiu Jitsu, submission
grappling and self defense. As our "About
Us" clearly states, it is about more than
one style. The site is designed to help those who
want it.
We get thousands of visitors a day and
receive hundreds of emails per month from beginner
to experienced jiu jitsu, judo, sub grapplers, wrestlers
and martial artists. We thank you for you support.
Its been great!!!
In a day and age where there is so much
negativity out there, I want to avoid it and not add
to it.
I hope this sits well with critics and
friends alike.
Train hard. Train well. And do what
works for YOU!
With Respect,
Ari Bolden
